Harvest Festival day dawned rainy and stayed rainy. Still, we couldn’t stay away.
Sugar the goat was there. The rain didn’t bother her, or didn’t seem to. It’s hard to tell with a goat whether they’re bugged or not.
We bought books, listened to steel drums, left pushpins on the places we were born on a map and pet a chicken.
I think Sugar’s partner was Spice.
A walk and picnic planned for Lynde turns into a wet adventure.
We only just get out when the rain pours on us. We eat lunch in the car, then walk under the shelter of the trees. There are many chipmunks, picky, turning down peanuts for sunflower seeds. Squirrels and ducks shadow us but do not come close. There is a new fence along the pathway.
We leave wet and dirty. We are okay with that.
A late night walk home from friends’ house as the rain falls through the street light.
Full tummies and lots of laughter.
