All the news about Hurricane Sandy made me panicky. I looked up Eastern and Central Ontario, the places that would be hit hardest, they said.
Maybe, I thought, we are far enough to be considered Eastern Ontario. Then we’ll be safe.
No such luck. I brought in all the Halloween adornments from outside. I even made my husband wheel in the barbecue.
